Essa semana usei essa atividade para quebrar o gelo com meus alunos do 4º ano:
Primeiro pedi que eles circulassem a palavra correta ouvindo a música. Depois eu conferi as respostas e deixei que eles sublinhassem as palavras em inglês que já conheciam. Como essa música está super na moda e eles ouvem o tempo todo no rádio foi bem legal.

Para começar bem o dia nada melhor do que cantar, pois bem, na escola onde eu ensino é um costume ter essa "musiquinha" para dizer "Olá novo dia!". Aí você me pergunta: E se o livro que adotei não tem uma música assim o que eu faço? Bem, minha querida "teacherzinha ou "teacherzinho" você pode cantar a música abaixo com a sua turma:
Depois de cantar pelo menos duas vezes, faça um exemplo com você: falando seu nome depois de "how are you?" e apontando para você mesma (o). Veja como eu faço:
Aí sim, minha querida "teachezinha(o)" você faz com os alunos dizendo o nome de cada um por vez. Eu gosto de pedir para que eles escolham o próximo perguntando: "And now, who?"

Para elaborar uma atividade a partir da letra é bem simples: é só retirar algumas palavras e colocar uns tracinhos no lugar. Cuidado para que os "gaps" não fiquem muito próximos pois atrapalha na execução da tarefa.
Sempre gosto de inovar ao ensinar uma música para que ela fique bem marcada pois é uma ótima forma de trabalhar a oralidade.
Para trabalhar a noção de posição da árvore e da casa de passarinho, usando as temidas preposições! Resolvi fazê-los criar a imagem ao invés de, por exemplo, levar um poster.
